Hi there - I'm Pretty Poly Pocket. I'm your petite sundressed sleep paralysis drenched in sulfer, burbon and patchouli; the co-morbid curiosity of Coachella Valley. I began my love for the artform of drag and the art of makeup around the pandemic, but only over the course of the last year have I truley began performing and getting into the scene. I find something so uniquely fascinating about the artform of drag. While, yes, I am educated on the different reality shows about drag - one's I am grateful for having - I do not take those shows alone as the reason of passion for drag. Something about me is I love glamour and I love the filthy horror. I live between oxymorons, which is the best way to describe my drag aswell. One minute you may see a glamorous queen giving an emotional ballad through a siren's voice hidden behind a white veneer, while the other you may see something you weren't ready for. Possibly something you weren't prepared for. As a person with a chronic illness, pain is a constant in my life. The uncanny and uncomfortable hold my hands as I prepare for bed. To me, I love horror, but I feel that horror isn't just about violence and blood and jumpscares...it's about that feeling deep in your stomach that tells you to turn back. Thats the feeling I try to evoke within my art whether that be drag or writing or poetry or any other performace. My biggest strength is my intense creativity and the ability to think outside the box. I can promise you that you won't expect what's next to come.
